Organizations + Communications
Melissa believes that most conversations about how organizations function are actually about how people are—or aren’t—communicating, and that most conversations about how to improve communications would benefit from looking at the individuals, structures and systems involved.
She uses both her organization consulting and her strategic communications skills to help clients discover and address core objectives at the staff, leadership and system levels.
Originally trained as a reporter and editor, Melissa has worked at newspapers, in agriculture communications and with a wide variety of clients in independent practice. She has been formally educated in political science and organization development, both of which look at group dynamics, behavior and power.
